Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils
Dance helps fighting for equality of gender and equality between races. Through dance, the pupils will be able to meet and understand one another better because every culture is expressing its ethnic values and soul contents. They will dance to inspire everyone from any background, race or gender and to create an inclusive community.
Two types of activities will be presented in Spain: intellectual and danced activities.
Orally, each team from each country will present the story and history of the dance they will have performed the months before, along with a short biography of a famous dancer or choreographer performing this dance. We will make sure that the 6 countries present 6 different dances. At the end of the project, we will be able to publish a real book or a digital one about all these dances.
The last but one day of the mobility, the pupils will make a chain compliments.On a sheet of paper, they will write a compliment to each participants. This compliment will be the result of 3 days spent together sharing activities. They will be able to read these poems on stage. They will all go back home with compliments from their European counterparts that they will keep as a testimony of an expectional week spent together. It will make them aware that in spite of cultural differences, they are equal and all Europeans!
As far as dance is concerned, after each team will have presented the activities they will have done in each country, Spain, the hosting country will privilege a couple dance that will bring to light gender equality and equality between pupils of different nationalities. A professional choreographer or a skillful teacher will have pupils from different origins dance together. The pupils will show their performance on stage! The Spanish partner school has done a consistent and effective work in gender equality and LGBT rights, winning recognition from the Spanish Ministry of Education as a "free from gender violence school". They will definitely help all the other school benefit from their experience in this field.
