Simone de Beauvoir school was created in 1986 and hosts about 600 pupils aged between 11 and 15 years on 4 different levels and about 45 teachers.

The school goals are based on education, promoting multiculturalism, multi bilingual capacities because it is a heterogeneous school being involved in the study of different foreign languages and culture. We are very much committed to international projects. We use eTwinning and epale. We organized many trips to European countries. We sent and received many culture boxes that made the pupils eager to discover new cultures.

Our school's staff is highly motivated to launch another Erasmus+ project which will focus on the adolescent on a European level. Thanks to our last activity which consisted in a giant flashmob in France, we discovered the importance dance had among the teenagers. It enabled them to break prejudices and make links with their friends. We witnessed a peaceful and joyful moment. We wish to see this emulation to go on in time. We are conscious that the skills and knowledge are important in education but the conditions in which the young people learn is all the more important.

It has acquired a solid experience by leading a very successful Erasmus+ KA229  project from 2017 to 2019. It obtained some labels that could testify for its quality. Indeed,  four countries, among which France got the European label. Recently, these countries applied for the European competition and hope to get a special prize. Also, we received the Good Practice Label from the French National Erasmus Agency awarding very high quality projects. Our school was the head coordinator of the project.
